You were looking for an upgrade or SBD for 4-3-82. Your wish has been granted thanks to who else, but Charlie Miller. Killer and unique Scarlet-Fire and a nice Eyes that you mentioned in your review.

Seriously--go run and see! This show is phenomenal and if the CM upgrade is as good as most of his are, I am blissfully Gratefully thankful!

Thanx for the heads-UP!

Just did a quick pass on the upgrade--not Charlie's fault of course...the original source stuff was so crappy there wasn't much he could work with--BUT it IS quite the improvement over all existing sources--I'd say at least 35-40% better and therefore a must-have.

This show contains my very favorite EYES of the 1980's. Yes, the whole damn decade.

The Scarlet>Fire? Might also qualify.

Fantastic 80's show.

This is what one of your fellow "peers" said...

Reviewer: Cliff Hucker - [2.0 out of 5 stars] - November 26, 2008
Subject: Soundboard?
A decent (yawn) '82 show, but this still a typical early 80's dog shit audience recording!

Does a SBD for this show circulate?

...about something that you think is great.

What's to be done about that maniac?

CH must be wrong right?

I like Cliff too much to say anything negative about him.

BUT...on this point, we must agree to disagree ;-)

To be fair, i THINK what Cliff was referring to in his 2-star review was that sound quality upgrade isn't really to the level of pristine SBD-quality and therefore not worthy of a stronger star-rating.

My guess is that the "ho-hum" part of his review is just some Hucker sarcasm (or "huck-asm" as it's known in these parts), b/c the show itself--objectively speaking--is one of 1982's very best. The fact that just a few weeks later 4/19/82 they played what's considered one of the great all time shows of any era (the Ravenspace show) would back up the claim that they were on the right track in April of '82.

Then again, Cliff's one of those big late-60's show guys. It's hard to get him or his acid-rock cronies like William Tell (another of my forum faves; hey, as they say in Jersey--no disrespeck!) to give much of a thumbs up to anything post 1969 so we'll have to see.

meanwhile, check it out and decide for yourself. The "S>F" & "Eyes" alone should give you your answer.
